The worst fast-food meals in America

July 09, 2010 By: bozobouffe Category: Uncategorized

As a kid growing up in the early ’80s, I made every mistake in the book. I ate fast food instead of smart food. I played video games when I should’ve been playing outside. By the time I reached age 14, I was carrying 212 pounds on a 5’10″ frame. (I wanted to be built like a basketball player, but instead was shaped more like a basketball.)

Eleven scary fast food breakfasts

May 22, 2010 By: bozobouffe Category: Uncategorized

How would you like to meet your daily sodium and saturated fat allowance, as well as nearly half of your daily calorie needs, in one quick breakfast eaten on the road? It’s becoming progressively easy these day as food technicians, chefs, and market researchers, holed away in corporate fast food “studios,” are busy developing monstrous new breakfast items.

8 Belly Busting Burritos From Your Favorite Fast Food Joints

May 21, 2010 By: bozobouffe Category: Uncategorized

Burritos have a lot of calories. That’s not exactly “news at eleven,” but even the most calorie-conscious among us would be surprised by how quickly the numbers add up between the flour-tortilla folds. Sure, we could cut out the shredded cheese and even the tortilla itself and save a few calories, but that’d be ignoring one important fact—life is short. A Canadian town without any fast food?

March 11, 2010 By: bozobouffe Category: Uncategorized

How many health issues could be averted?

A councillor in Tofino, B.C., wants to ban fast-food franchises and retail chains from the West Coast surf town in order to preserve its uniquely laid-back character.

For the approximately 2,000 residents of the Vancouver Island community, a craving for a Starbucks coffee or a McDonald’s hamburger means a drive out of town.
